City V Everton
« on: January 26, 2016, 10:28:31 PM »
Any predictions?

Third time lucky I think. :D

Hope they don't play Yaya in a 2 man midfield & would feel more confident if Hart was in goal.

this feels like the 10th City v Everton thread I've seen this year  LOL

I agree 100% laserblue..  yaya can start the match sitting behind pellegrini..
I'd love to see Iheanacho given a go from the off as well.

There is no team we can't beat... but is everton regaining 'bogey team' status?

Everton only need a draw, so you can guarantee they are going to sit back and be very compact, restricting as much space as possible.

We will win only if pellers wants to stop being a twat and play the right team.

With liverpool though to the final via penaltys, I do hope we can prevent an all scouse final...

Come on City! :cityfan:

need 1-0 or 3-1 right...  I think we can muster it..
but will need the defense to play very well today..  REALLY need a clean sheet..

I thought the starting setup was strange, a narrow midfield 3 of toure centre, delph left and fernandinho right, with Sterling and silva pretty much strikers with Aguero.

there first goal by Barkley was terrible from Citys point of view. A foul on Aguero then there was so much space in midfield(what do you expect with toure as the main central figure?) and amateurish defending from Otamendi.

In retaliation Aguero hit the post with a cracker of a shot.
then fernandinho shot from outside the box, which deflected to score the equaliser.

Half time, and fair play to Pellers he made a tactical change, bringing navas on for delph. And navas to his credit added that much needed energy... although it wasnt until Yaya was replaced by de Bruyne that we actually started playing like we can.
Sterling instantly looked more dangerous too, got to the byline and whilst the ball was over the line crossed it for De Bruyne to score, Aguero would of also been there if Kevin had air shot! lol
DeBruyne then put in a beautiful cross for Agureo to place a brill header into the net.
Like laser said, only main gripe is that De Bruyne may have seriously of hurt his medial ligament...  :'(  fingers crossed...

Aguero is looking very sharp, and IS carrying us at the mo...

vs Liverpool in the Final, Wembley Sunday 28th Feb. :)

Quadruple is still on  :-X  ... FA CUP next@ Villa this Sat :)

What a great match!
Really an enjoyable game to watch (if we're not including heart attacks).. atmosphere sounded amazing

a great comeback and some great play by our blues..

I agree that we should give pellers credit for the changes he made..  but yaya shouldn't have started imho..

anyway.. exciting game.. aguero = legend

Thought fernandinio was excellent.
