Kasper Schmeichel is a Danish goalkeeper currently playing for Manchester City. He is the son of famous goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, who also finished his career with Manchester City.

Schmeichel is presently fourth choice goalkeeper at Manchester City after Andreas Isaksson, Nicky Weaver, and Joe Hart. He has yet to play for the club's first team, despite being a registered squad player for nearly two years and having appeared loads of times on the substitutes' bench. He recently returned from his second loan spell at Bury to feature in the club's reserve team fixtures.

Kasper made his first team debut, at League 2 side Darlington, against Peterborough United at the 96.6 TFM arena on January 14, 2006, Darlington winning the game 2-1, with Kasper just the one goal.
