How annoying!!! I had an ace role. I was Strider and then if I got killed in the night I turned into Arragorn!!! I was doctor when I was Strider and when I was killed I could kill and protect at night. So not fair as I had like 3 lives really as I could protect myself once too. The only way I could die was to get lynched. Wish I had just not posted anything and I would have been alright. Just cause I posted like 24 hours before the deadline and people came on late and saw my posts most recently it stuck in their head so voted for me. I did get band wagoned a bit and TCH said that I had 1 mafia vote and one townie took a vote of mafia and voted me. SO going to go back now and figure out whats what lol. GGGGGGrt still so annoying. I had a power role and tried to lay low and post too much but I guess I should have not said anything and I would have been alright.
I really didn't have a clue about anyone as is usual on day 1 so just voted you Steve as I knew it wouldn't have any real affect on the outcome. It was the only logical reason I could give for a vote that I thought you were playing different so to not look sus but I guess it did lol.

You'll notice that I play slightly different each game, I dont want to have a "normal". I do go after people... sometimes more than others.. but sometimes I log on.. lol

When I posted I only had 1 vote then I was going to check what the crack was just before the deadline but got into work late!!! Was FFFFFFFFFuming!!!!!!!!!!! lol.

1) Evil people 100%: Mophead (as I've said all along), Laserblue, Trick Pony, someone else..

TCH what do you think about Mophead modding a game? short one.. one game day to one real day.. one game night to one real day.. give loads of killing capability so it goes quick!! you'd ahve 24 hours to get night action in.. i think it would be fun for everyone with the crazy roles he'd come up with...

doesn't worry me, you'll have to amend the rules website though ;)
The only issue i can think of with one that short is the time zones we are all on might might it hard to debate and respond to accusations. The other is weekends, when people do tend to post less.

I have given her a severe telling off. I told her she is letting people down and that the game is a commitment and she shoulnd't have put her name in if she wasn't going to make an effort.
She has been blabbing on about her mum lending her computer and when she got it back her mum didn't give her the charger so she needs to go round and get that. I still told her it wasn't good enough cause I am nice like that :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
To be fair when she put her name down she could get on at work and thought she would be able to post at work but now the site has been blocked. So basically its more hassle which again I said isn't good enough!!! :bleh: :bleh:

i had an idea for mafia to stop this happening and a reservoir dogs type theme, and create usernames that you could only post under
so Mr White, Green, Blue etc, so no one would really know who was who and then taking out the killing of certain players first all the time.
Mophead is naughty and LaserBLue has complained i hope you have spoken to him Steve.
There are a few more posts we might have to fix up as SVH quotes modheads post.

Well I almost dodged the bullet, I still believe they only killed me as none of them wanted the chance to get themselves lynched which is really a weak decision from the townies. For example if I was the roleblocker they would have possibly saved a townie during the night phase and they could have lynched another mafia member during that day phase, though if I wasnt night killed they would have known that I was mafia, MIASG should think him self lucky as I would have killed him in day 4 first post >:D
Also I tried to force yorkshire blue and laser blue to help save me as having stated that i roleblocked them so they cant be the godfather should definatley have them lynched next, so if mafia loses its because they failed to save me as if I hadnt been lynched we would have had the upper hand and the town would have lost as they wouldnt suspect me any longer in the game which is lucky for them.

bluestars told me today that had hammer made it through the night phase, and it came down to claiming, they were going to switch roles.. blue was going to claim froto and hammer was going to claim sam.. which I thought was a horrible idea because of the terrorist option..
so.. the death of Froto may have been a good thing for the town actually

Well that's annoying, didn't think of terrorists. I figured we'd have it pretty much won by me doing that, cos they'd waste a kill trying to get rid of me, and it'd protect the hobbits. I was then going to start tomorrow by laughing at them saying i could never be killed at night, so they'd either have to risk killing me at night again and wasting another, or just keeping me alive till the end. And i only thought there was laser left.
There's no way i'd have ever got Yorkshire, without investigation. I find him impossible to work out, he just does the same thing every game. I try to do that, but writing alot, there's always something that can give you away. I'm gonna play the next one like him :)
Should still win, almost everyone in the game seems to have revealed, so it should be harder to hide. I take it laser isn't a terrorist as well? Just the nazgul?

This game was fun, and I reckon I had TP and Mophead pegged but its a shame that some people didnt play as much. Mines only open to the proper players that post no matter what shit they say. I carried the ring far...but was it far enough?

so.. someone has the ring.. and if they are killed tonight then.....
ring goes to regular townies...
they will die because the ring will consume him..
so that leaves 2 vs Yorkshire blue..
if they lynch york its over, if they lynch anyone else.. its an evil victory..
but if yorkshire kills anyone but the ring bearer... then it's a town victory...
if he manages to guess the ring bearer.. then he has a good chance to convince MIASG that it's actually Liverbird that's evil.. because she wont be on often enough to defend herself..
and remember that he's Nazgul and probably still has the terrorist option.. if so.. and he kills the ring bearer... he can at least take someone out on his way to death... but that will still leave a townie and it will be a town victory :)
tonight's kill will be important.. cant wait.. wish he'd go ahead and send it in so things could get rolling again..

It was a bad mistake I made killing axeman but he had named nearly all of us .. Yorkshire wanted to go for someone else...
anyway enjoyed killing you all (well nearly all) but I prefer to be town it's easier...

I think something needs doing to save the mafia games..... people are just looking who's logged on to see who could have sent a mafia post during the night or who's messaging TCH ..... it totally defeats the object of the game & makes it not worth playing >:(
also with all the rollclaiming & death posts giving people's identity..... it's just ruining the game :(

I've been thinking of this.. and I think we need to add two rules..
1) Mafia can use email or MSN to communicate between each other at the night phases and to send in thier action, so as to keep the "he's sent a msg to TCH" comments down... also, we can make 'who's online' illegal for the purposes of the game.. it's really the honesty policy that has to take force, shouldnt be too tough just to enjoy the game without trying to view who's online doing what..
2) not sure what we can do about role climing.. but I think if we make a rule that you can't roleclaim unless you have votes for you, or something of the manner... or even, you can claim until the 5th day of the game unless you are within 2 votes of a lynch..
I agree 100% with you laserblue.. the game where everyone role claimed excpet one person... it took the luster from the game.. as everyone knew who was who.. and the whole point of the game is that you DONT know who's who

Maybe if we just don't have all of the games having known characters and rigid themes? That way, a role claim is always questionable, and the mafia can always do them as effectively as townies, because no one knows what's out there. Roleclaiming should always be allowed though, it just shouldn't be so easy.
The who's online thing is easily solved. Just get everyone to make themselves appear hidden at the start of the game - like Hammer already does himself - and it's problem solved.
I like the idea of doing another secret account game actually, to stop people just killing the obvious choices easily right at the start of the game.. every time.

Everyone role claiming towards the end gives the town huge advantage but only in games where people know the characters. But games that are familiar I think are more fun to be honest.
And I don't have MSN as am sure others don't but if you were shown offline it wouldn't matter would it.

I don't mind role claiming as in the last game two people claimed to be xavier and it cost the town the win. I find it strange though that people who would contribute to the game a killed early and people who say nothing waltz through days at a time. It has effected this game a bit.
Like i mentioned earlier but my ultimate mod game would be to have separate accounts people used thereby its just user1, user2, user3 etc and you have no idea who's who and can only work things out from their posting style. It might help Steve make it to day 2 too !! ;)

Lol I came up with that ages ago, and it was tried.
I'm gonna try and start my Good, Bad and Ugly mafia by sending out roles by Sunday. I'm still in Germany so thats why it's gonna take a while, but be patient.
I really think everyone should do the "Appear Offline" function because it does get rid of that temptation to look. I myself sometimes absent minded just checked it once or twice and spotted Steve Van Halen viewing my account which immiediately made me suspicious of him.
