The Rules for Game of Death Mafia
* To attempt to keep the game flowing there may be time limits for the day and night phases.
* Nights will hopefully only last therefore between 24-48 hours. If night choices come in earlier, it will dawn earlier. If you don’t get your choices in on time then you miss out on them.
* Lynching will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded. The day will still finish and the night phase begins.
* The person with the most votes at the end of the day phase will be lynched, in the result of a tie due to a deadline then the toss of a coin will decide who gets lynched.
* Votes must be in bold. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.
* Please be attentive and unvote, before casting a new vote, you can only vote for one person at a time.
* The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.
* Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead. Stop typing.
* Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts you are likely to be mod killed otherwise.
* Don’t quote any messages from me. You will be mod-killed if you do.
* If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. I will not wait for you – if you do not submit a choice then you miss out, which might result you being quite unhappy
* If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.
* I should post a vote count, ever so often, maybe every page or every alternate one. Please feel free to request one should you deem it necessary.
* If you have any questions, you can pm me or ask in the thread. I'll get back to you as soon as possible, and with the best explanation that I can.
* I am always right, but not always accurate. If I've made a mistake, please tell my by email as soon as possible. If you try to notify me in thread, I'll have to to edit your post and you will most likely be mod-killed.

Prelude............ .......
You are the best in your field, no one has challenged you for ages. Trolling the net you find an obscure add about a tournament for the strongest and best fighters in the world to take each other on in a battle royal, winner takes all. You’re intrigued, for the first time in a while you can feel the excitement stir. You respond to the add and wait.
The next day there is a reply in your inbox, a first prize of 10 million in cash and e-tickets for a flight to a remote Asian Island, the tournament starts in two weeks. You are the best though so who can stop you, so you send through your confirmation and start preparing.
On reaching the island you are taken to your private room, seeing no one, the game starts tomorrow. After a restless nights sleep you are taken from your room into a small chamber with one window. Looking through you can see other windows with faces peering through, all looking on a large grassed area, in the middle of which has been erected a gibbet and a noose. The panel that the window is housed in suddenly disappears and you walk into the arena ready for anything........... .......

Ok gents we are now live and running.
Day one starts, it will run until Midnight Thursday UK time at which point we will have a lynch and enter the night phase. So you have not lynched someone by then, I will take the person with the most votes and lynch them.
With the big weekend coming up things might be a little quiet till Monday.

You all have a randomized number between 1 and 10, currently two of the numbers are empty. So if anyone wants to join late they have till Monday. If no one joins at that point i will reveal one of the numbers but the other will be left vacant. So at night if you could select that number, you will be told that no one is there and you get nothing, but at least you know in the future not to try that number again.

Interesting premise this game ... basically vote off who you don't like in the day and hope like hell in the night .. not sure if Alz will know the game is on as he's away today (friday) and may not look at it till monday.
Is it everyman for himself ? if so there's nothing to find out in the day phase really .. so what can you really post looking for? no ones going to give up their number .. the rules say lynch is a lynch .. so doubtful that say the top 2 voted for fight off or something ..
I'm not going to vote just yet - want to hear everyone else's take - maybe see who's not participating .. that and waiting for mophead to join to vote him off as steve suggested :)

I very much doubt it is everyman for themselves as there would be no point to the day phase, I would imagine there is an evil crime syndicate hoping to blow up the world or something, and a hero or 2 like Bruce Lee for example... :bruce: :akido:

I think if there was a cult it'd be too hard to take them down at night and too easy for them in the day phase .. can't discount it though .. more likely to be a mason team in my eyes but again the story is about who will survive until the end .. seems to me to be everyone for themselves games rather then town v mafia

it's a bit hard for me to provide any more information on the game at this point. If you are not sure just treat yourself like a normal townie, you know you are good and the rest could be anything.

seeing how Day 1 is a lottery and I don't think anything else can be gained from it - Wes won't vote for himself and it's left to me or mike .. I like the idea of the night being so random

'Before you return to your chambers for the night know this, you have all been quick to cast votes. Maybe this will back fire on you in the future as voting patterns emerge.'
Another door opens and a lady flanked by two huge bodyguards walks through with a needle. She heads towards Wes.
'Hold out your arm '
Wes looks at the bodyguards and a look of resignation on his face. He offers his arm and is injected. He looks if anything more alive after the needle than before. The lady and the henchmen walk away back through the door they came through. The voice booms out again.
'Your eagerness to vote someone off has backfired, Wes has been injected with a serium that increases his strength by one point. Return now all of you to your chambers and prepare for tomorrow as from tomorrow there are no second chances and you will lynch someone tomorrow.'
We are now in the nightphase so please send me your actions, if you have any, Day two will start as soon as i have all the actions or midnight Wednesday UK time.

Day two begins:
As you sit in your chamber before the start of the day a piece of paper is slipped under your door. It reads
The highest points score currently is 11, more than one person has this score
The lowest points score currently is 7, more than one person has this score
No one chose to protect themselves
Not everybody sent in a night action
One person was picked on more than once
The total points left for challengers 1-5 is less than challengers 6-10
As you finish the door opens to the arena and you head back in ready for day 2
There are still 8 of you left, so 5 votes are required to create a lynch.

so how do we work the day phase ?
Give up what number you voted for if you got a hit? give up a number if you didn't? no one saved themselves so if you got nothing then you have 1 up on everyone else I guess :-\
Guess easiest thing early on is get rid of the non posters on Day 1 .. but then again if they aren't around they can't take points off you either .. only 2 people got votes - the 2 who didn't show ..

Otherwise the lowest count would be 6 or 5...
Unless by Wes getting the extra 1 point shot, means he doesn't lose 1 point for surviving the day...

If that person was Wes then his total would have been 6 (because of the extra he got at the end of the day) UNLESS because of that extra he didn't lose 1 strength point for surviving the day... which would make his total 7...
My guess is... the Challenger Number that was chosen by 2 different people last night... is one of the vacant numbers...
It really doesnt make any difference to the game today... as we dont know who voted for who... so we cant determine the vacant numbers... but may help out down the track if people start to claim who they voted for during the night etc...
Wes still has the advantage over us all, no matter what... and for this... he deserves to go... :)

then vote for someone who you feel is bandwagoning you, to be honest in this day they are looking to try to get you off again trying to point out that you are the strongest because you got +1, with the hope everyone jumps on it again... my previous post i have completly blown there theory out of the water.
so in my eyes, this vote goes to either Footynoob or Miasg as i believe they are the strongest chars at the moment.
I would assume, Ryals, Wes and Mikeblue failed to make a night action, My night action was put on a non player and i got attacked... this leaves the others... they MUST be the strongest hence why they should go. ;)

I don't think there are any teams in this game at all ... The bandwagon on day 1 ended by me was a no brainer - plus as I said I thought he'd prob get lucky anyway. He did. Day 2 - Wes had 1 more point then me - I lost points - he's stronger then me unless proven otherwise - no brainer.
I have no problem if anyone else gets voted off other then wes either. Don't get confused with FBN and I having posts near each other with team work - it's more about the time zone. I've told Alz the game is back on ... he's brand new posted once said "Hi I'm new vote wes"

like i just said in my previous post, I now know a non playing number, and i was attacked. which puts me on 7points.
there are more than one person with 11, a snippet from TCH's mod post, which both Miasg and footynoob (and also Ryals who was probably skimming on his mobile phone!) failed to mention whilst declaring Wes IS the strongest. I know it cant be me so this leaves either Miasg, FN, Alz and lazer assuming that Mike, Wes and Ryals failed to make an attack as they were not around.
I am not defending Wes either, I'm pointing out the fact you are all voting him on the pretense he is the strongest when its quite clear he is NOT as he cannot be on 11points... yes, he is probably stronger than me but he IS NOT the strongest which means there are bigger threats at the moment, so why would i want to vote him? if you cant see that then you need to re-study maths. :bleh:

Happy... I never stated that Wes is the strongest... I simply pointed out that he is the only one that we know of that had an advantage by getting the extra point...Obviously he didn't pick up any points over night as he would be on 12 points if he had... Thus relinquishing his advantage...
But all I know for sure is he has more strength points than me (I chose a non playing number over night AND got attacked)...
The way I see it in this everyman for themselves contest, take out the people you KNOW are stronger than yourself, then work on figuring out the rest... And at this early stage, the only person I know for sure has more strength points than me is Wes...
As for the notion that there are teams in this game... I highly doubt it... Read the preface, we all simply reply to something on the net... We don't ever get to meet the other players (until we fight)... We are all housed in separate units... The possibility of teams is just not there...

I don't see how anyone can tell who's the strongest or weekest at this stage, you only know wether you lost or gained everyone else is numbers ... so we don't know or am I missing something?
Miasg saying he has less points doesn't mean anything ... if anything it makes me think he has more.

actually in one of my posts i showed that there are 4 possible people who could have 11 points...
Miasg, Footynoob, Alz and you Laser... why? because you are the only four players who possibly had success in the night stage.
I'm starting to think Miasg has 9 points, maybe Alz failed to make a night action cause he dont know what he is doing, which leaves laser and Footynob.
I'm going with Steve, i too think Footynoob is lying.

SteveRyals wasnt around if he was he would of posted in other parts of the forum in the duration night phase was in place...
out of the 3... Mikeblue wasnt around as he too had a trip to wembley... although he may well of just made it...

this would should suggest a real player got attacked twice, meaning I and if he was telling the truth, footyNewb (only someone who hasnt said what there night actions were could disprove this to me) have found the two non-players between us.
whoever got attacked twice must of also carried out a succesful night attack, which would also put them on +7

then we have 7 -- so Happy and FBN say both hit and found no one .. but on 7, Steve says someone stole - assuming 1 and no night actions, Mike says was attacked twice - but it also means he was sucessful at night ... otherwise he'd be on 5.
If Happy is right the we are looking about 6 voting and 2 not .. 2 voteson mike + 2 missed ... that leaves 2 votes .. 1's on me .. 1's on steve ... but FBN and Happy also claim to be hit .. that makes it 8 votes and not everyone voted - so we have a def liar probably more.

Once we hit 4 votes a lynch has been reached, the first person to reach 4 votes was Alz. Steve changed his vote to FBN a post later but it was too late and i have removed any posts after the lynch was reached.

I was on 9 - so went to 8 at end of day - lost 4 for being hit twice (no one countered because they couldn't) gained 2 for steal so back to 6 same as you .. I was stolen from once again but not twice - but I'm filthy that I took a syringe and it took another 2 off me - did anyone get a syringe that didn't take 2 off them? maybe we are being punished for "cheating" like taking steroids or something .. nearly out - probably out next night phase .. so I'm voting for FBN for 3 reasons - 1 to hopefully take out someone who votes for me .. 2 because he's a lying cheating bastard, and 3 that he's had a knee op and sitting at home but not sure if he'll continue to play - guess I don't care he def would have have more points then me vote FBN

I am on 4 and for the 3rd time got attacked twice so I think people are just sticking to the same numbers they know they are getting a hit on. Well thats no good really if you are on a low score aswell as we need to get the people with higher power!

oh look, Miasg was another who was lying, and was yet again stronger than me. good result.
I protected myself last night, which puts me on 3. Someone attacked me, so they could be on same points as me...
BUT...

you all claimed to be on 4 points before the night phase which means at least one of you is lying, you cant all be on 3 points like me as the points tally just does not add up.

steve protected, and was not attacked.
laser has said he attacked, was unsuccesful(attacked me) and was not attacked.
all the sums for night actions add up until mikeblue says he was attacked and unsuccessful.
maybe laser didnt attack me and attacked Mikeblue, but that would mean if Steve is telling the truth then mikeblue must of attacked me?

I do realize why laser would say he didnt attack mike based on the fact that if mike knows it may get an instant vote for laser.
but i dont understand why mike would say he attacked a dead player.. the only way it works out is that mike attacked axeman and laser attacked mike..
UNLESS.. axeman is lying.. then that throws that theory out the window..
then axe could have attacked mike and laser would have to be lying about being unsuccessful in his attack..
and mike would have really attacked a player who was dead lol
i'm still certain about laser though.. just based on the fact alone that he had a head start on me.. he can say he didnt.. but he took wes' role and that role recieved an extra point at the beginning due to the lynch.. 11 points to start..

I just didnt read it properly and didn't know at the time MIASG was 8. I was late saw the PM and just attacked who I had attacked every night. Cheers TCH for telling me :-\ You could have said and let me attack someone else.

The effort was all too much for Mike, he had picked up too many wounds and his strength has gone. He keels over and is dead.

on the contrary, i was attacked nearly every round and was one of the weakest, the night of the syrum was the turning point where I got lucky, attacked and didnt get attacked which put me in the lead. by then all i had to do was carry on like before. ;)
i see the only one telling the truth all game was Mikeblue... an Honest Bookie? lmao

well thats what got Laser killed in the early days, my workings out gave me good favour with the gods. lol and poor laser couldnt do nowt but admit he was strongest cause he wasnt quick enough to say he was attacked etc. this game was all about broadcating your previous nights stats in early. :laugh:
