Is set for a reserves return. Cheesy

Can he make a big comeback or not, this surely would be a great time too make a big impact for him, he could lift the whole club with hope Shocked

Im hoping if he comes through the reserves game ok that Sven will give him the chance, it would be electric if he can instantly find his feet.

I doubt we will see anything near of what bojinov has to offer until next season. He has had a bad injury so we need to be patient with him.

He is fit &ready brothers..I bet ya he will score against Liverpool reserves.Do you wanna bet?+he will play the next game in the first team bro..Maybe not 90 min. but who cares ?The most important is to score goals.I know from the Bulgarian press ,that Martin said he will try to do his best to set Bojinov for scores./That is what he said to a topsport .bg and 7days sport/Exciting isn't it???

I agree here..  6 months and he's back, but nothing really to play for.. lets not risk him if we dont need to..

if he's 100% fit.. then sure... otherwise, lets be safe and get him back to full sharpness for next season..

Sure an obvious & safe approach Wink, same as what everyone else is thinking but im not saying rush him in, certainly if he is not sharp enough then Sven will not play him in the first team, simple as simple is, if he is not ready then fare enough but if Sven thinks he is ready then i repeat the above.

Though i am not stupid im also not a very safe person, safe minded yes but i love my adrenaline fixes so safe is sometimes a dirty word to me bleh, if i was i wouldnt do what i do, Archery, mountaineering, Hiking/roughing & Mountain Rescue Volunteer. Roll Eyes

Apparently he reinjured himself back in Feb when he played with the reserves..  or had pain that was unexpected or something...

City buoyed by Bojinov return from injury

Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is looking forward to the return of forgotten striker Valeri Bojinov.

The Bulgarian, signed from Fiorentina in the summer, has not figured since August when he suffered a cruciate ligament injury.

However, he has made a good recovery and scored in the reserves' 2-1 defeat to Liverpool last night having come on as a 69th minute substitute.

Although the 22-year-old is still some way short of match fitness Eriksson is pleased the end to the player's injury nightmare is close.

'Bojinov looks better and better. He has a long way to go before he is 100% but he played 25 minutes in the reserves against Liverpool, which is good,' said the City boss.

'I wouldn't say he is desperate to play football but almost. He has been out for a long time but has been working hard in the gym with the physios.

'Five or six weeks ago we thought he was on the right way and he played for the reserves and then we had to take him out and put him on more training in the gym and more muscle work.

'It has been very tough for him and that is good (he has returned to action).'
