I'd like my Tripping the Rift townie win added too, please. Taking my total to a massive 2  :)

Would have been 3 though. Gather round, kids, i'll tell you how i was robbed of a victory in Axe Mafia 1. The game consisted of 2 teams, GOOD and EVIL, and the winning team would be the first to eliminate the other. It was down to five and my evil team were looking good. We had 2 left compared to the good team's one (stevenryals) and there were also two neutrals. We also had the one remaining good team member investigated and ready to kill - this was required in the game, to kill somebody, you must first have investigated them the previous night. Stevenryals had neither of us investigated.

What then happened, was that this rule got suspended - with no prior warning, and so rather than just being killed, as should have happened, stevenryals was able to kill me, whilst i also killed him. I'm sure you'll agree, only one of those kills was legitimate. A clear injustice. And had that not happened, it would have been 2 evil against 2 neutrals, and game over. As it was, it was 2 neutrals and 1 evil. But hang on a second you'll be thinking, didn't you win when all of the GOOD team were dead? Well, we thought so.. The neutrals then killed our evil, and amazingly, the completely annihilated good team were declared the winners. As was later cleared up, neutral in fact meant good and not neutral as you might have thought.

Not that i'm bitter   ;)

We should start over with it..  as over 1/2 of the people on there dont even participate anymore..

and if your team wins, but you die before the final day.. do you still get the points??

it could be said that you helped..  but..  then again, as a townie, to die in the first night phase.. have you really helped??

anyway..  what do you think?

everyone or just the survivors?
Title: Re: Mafia Hall of Fame
Post by: Mikeblue on May 23, 2008, 04:40:44 PM
Say 10 points for a win and an extra 5 points for every night you survive???

Yeah start from Tripping the Mafia Rift cause the last game before that was donkeys ago, and everyone that played in that will generally be playing in future one. Along as they continue succesfully which they seem to be.

How about 3 points for a win team win, and 1 point per night survived?

I'll make up a table later..

I am indeed.

I'll make up a table later..

Why not just 1 point for a win and a bonus point for being there at the end? It'll be easier to manage for you that way.

It could be argued that if you're a townie and you're there at the end, you probably haven't been the one that has been the most useful during the game though (because you'd have been killed off). But i guess it should be rewarded.

I've been bottling it all up since 2006  ;D

Fair play.

One point if you win and feck all if you don't.

Do it from Tripping the Mafia Rift

That puts me on a grand total of 1!!!

Should be two not for Mophead and SVH!!!

I'm trying to think of a way to do it that actually shows who's the better player.....

that's difficult!!

I wouldn't bother.

You would just make a fool of yourself

Well if you want to do it a more complicated way then a points structure is needed, where you get points for surviving x amount of nights and winning.

If you wanted to go further you could do it for correct lynches and succesful kills etc. but then that is getting really complicated.....

I think nights survived bonus points for being alive at the end and points for winning.

Points for winning should be the most as that is what the game is about and then a decent bonus for still being alive at the end and points for survivng nights the lowest amount of points awarded.

If you make it too complicated its just going to end up tits up and way too much work.

well.. if it's too mathmatical, it can just be done by the moderator of the game... because he'll be able to just add points throughout the game..  but i wouldnt expect someone to go back through the last few games...

maybe:

3pt for a team win
1pt for lynching evil (if you've voted for the evil adn your town)
-1pt for lynching one of your own
1pt for getting a townie lynched (if your any form of evil)
-1pt for getting lynched (as an evil role)
1pt for surviving to the end of the game
1pt for clever play (to be given by the moderator, a max of 5 points given per game)

whatta ya think about that?
Title: Re: Mafia Hall of Fame

I think thats way too complicated  :-\ but hey I won't be doing it so whatever rocks your boat  ;)

If the mod is happy doing this through the game, which shouldn't really be too much extra work if they are doing it daily or whatever then it sounds good.

Maybe speak to TCH and see what he thinks is the best way to do it, and what he thinks the points and minus points should be and what for in particular.

But sounds good if it is done properly and we can get a good run of a few games going. I never played in the last ones but from what I have glanced at there were a few that didn't go to well and they just died off. I hope this doesn't happen again as I think they are real good fun. Beats working when at work anyway  ;D

wow, i thought 2 points if you win and are alive at the end and 1 point if you were part of the team that won and died.

But i'm happy to go with the flow

Lets keep this simple.

1 pt for winning. Every game should be completly fair for the town or mafia to win, and just because you got killed doesnt mean you dont deserve different points. What if someone survives all the way to the end having made the wrong vote everytime, and just generally the town won in spite of him.

Just 1 pt for a win.

I reckon 2 points for a serial killer if they win .. not that it's happened yet but it'd be a monumental task to beat town and mafia... then again not every game has one.

ok ok.. what if we took the square root of the sum of the winning teams ages, and subtracted how many kills the mafia & sk/cult had throughout the game, then divided by the number of players who are left in the game on the last day??

??

ok. keep it simple..

1 point for a town win
1 point for a mafia win
2 points for SK/Cult win

anything else?
Title: Re: Mafia Hall of Fame
Post by: hippo on May 24, 2008, 07:04:24 PM
Just 1 point for a win for anybody i think would be best. A cult definitely shouldn't get extra points anyway, because they'd always have a reasonable chance of winning. So does a serial killer really, because no one ever thinks about them and they're practically impossible to trace (because you can't be looking for links with anyone or anything).

I say keep it simple

1 point win for anyone on winning team dead or alive - but put it as a percentage e.g for me it would be 66%

this shows how good they are cos in points the people who have played more games will most likely have more points so in % it shows better.
